Detent and torque transfer Polymagnet systems have a system decay rate of 1% every 100 years. This is a tremendous advantage over traditional Detent and Torque transfer systems.
Detent Polymagnets are engineered to possess a certain number of attract and repel positions – bumps which provide tactile feedback as the magnets are rotated. These Polymagnets can be engineered to contain different numbers of detent positions. These systems also generate torque due to the high number of transitions between North and South regions.
